Quote of the Moment
Schemes within schemes. The Great Serpent is a good sign for you Aes Sedai, I think. Someday you may swallow yourselves by accident.

Osan'gar

The Forsaken awoke from their imprisonment in an Age where their knowledge and powers made them seemingly invincible. But several of the male Forsaken quickly learned this was not the case, dying in the service of the Great Lord of the Dark. The Lord of the Grave, though, saw fit to resurrect two of these men.

The man now known as Osan'gar, like Aran'gar, was one of those fallen Forsaken. He was named by the Dark One, and was created as a tool to carry out the Great Lord's will. Osan'gar was given the body of a Borderlander, an average body.

None save the Great Lord and Osan'gar himself know in what manner Osan'gar is to serve. He was certainly made with a specific task in mind; the Lord of the Grave does not expend such effort for no purpose.

Should Osan'gar complete this task, he has a chance to become one of the Dark Lord's most favored servants. Should he fail, though, he will most likely wish his master had never resurrected him. Shai'tan has ever been hard on those who fail him repeatedly.

Since his creation...

Osan'gar has attached himself to Rand al'Thor, masquerading as the Asha'man Corlan Dashiva. Rand perhaps had some suspicion of Dashiva's true identity and so chose to keep Osan'gar close to him. Other than being near Rand, Osan'gar seemed to do nothing until finally he and other Darkfriend Asha'man attempted to murder Rand. After the failed attempt he disappeared until Rand cleansed saidin. Osan'gar was last seen on a hill destroyed by Elza Penfel, who despite being Black Ajah, protected Rand and Nynaeve al'Meara while they cleansed the male half of the True Source.
