  1. Post an intro message

Tell us who you are, what you're doing, all that good stuff.

  2. Keep things realistic

You can't just join and become the leader of a nation. But, for example, you can place you character in position to manipulate rulers, or even to instigate a coup d'etat to take over a nation or a dukedom or somesuch. This can't just occur in one post though. The whole point of starting out as a peon and becoming someone powerful is the "work" for the character (i.e., cool RPing for you) involved. If your character just falls ass backwards into a throne. . . well, that's just not realistic.

  3. How are you affecting (or being affected) by events?

Your character must be involved with other characters, eventually. I understand that at first, you'll be isolated, especially if you are a character that is a "wanderer", but you must do something with other members or you're not really RPing at all. This is supposed to be fun, and most of the fun results from interacting with others. Oh yeah, if enough people join a Miscellaneous group, I'll make a society for them. Which means, your own board, and Society Leader priveleges (with the database) for the leader of the sub-society.

  4. Blademaster

This is a tricky subject. The rank of blademaster is extremely rare in the WoT world, and for some reason many people think of it as some kind of easy thing to attain. I have received a ton of e-mails (yes, e-mails actually weigh one gram a piece. . .) that contain biographies of characters that start out as blademasters. Well, since the site is becoming pretty huge (over 100 members as I write this!!), I really can't allow people to just be blademasters right away. That's not to say that you can't be good, or even INCREDIBLE with a sword, or any other weapon, but you can't be a blademaster right away. The only way to solve this problem is to have those who wish to become blademasters train with the Gaidin for a while. Not too long, not as long as the GiT do at least, but for a reasonable amount of time. I can't really say exactly HOW long, that's up to Head Gaidin Davis, but not an exorbitant amount of time, anyway.
