Chapter Summary Submit
Below is a form to be used by anyone interested in submitting a summary to wotmania's growing database of chapter summaries. All you need to do is choose your chapter and start writing. Below the form to submit is a listing of all chapters still waiting to have a summary marked active for the public and the number of pending submissions (if any) for each of these chapters. This will help give you an idea of what chapters you might want to tackle and which you might want to leave alone.
The Process
Okay, here's the deal with how this all works... Anyone who wants to submit a chapter summary can do so using the form below. Pending summaries are dumped into a database for review by an admin. Once an admin chooses a summary as good enough for the public, the admin approves the summary and all other summaries in the database for that particular summary are deleted. I have no interest in having a huge list of summaries for each chapter in WoT, so that's the way this thing is going to go...
Guidelines
There are a few guidelines to follow when you're submitting a chapter summary. Please read these carefully, as they will make it much more likely that your summary will be accepted.
- Please ensure that you run some type of grammar and spell checking on your chapter summary. The goal of this project is to create a readable and reliable chapter summary index. Admins have been instructed not to post summaries that are not written well - the ones that have spelling mistakes, poor grammar, etc.
- The summary should read like a simple narrative of everything that happened in that particular chapter. Each summary should probably be between a half a page and a page or so. Check out the An Empty Road entry for an example.
- Chapter summaries should be objective. Only talk about what happened, personal opinions and speculation will disqualify your summary, as that isn't what we're looking for here.
