Birgitte
Birgitte is one of the legends of the Ages that is tied to the Horn of Valere. She has lived countless lives through the turning of the Wheel, and each of her lives has brought forth more stories of valor and heroism. Every story concerning her tells of her silver bow and her silver arrows, with which she never missed. The heroes tied to the Horn reside in Tel’aran’rhiod until they are once again spun out by the Wheel. But Birgitte was torn out of the World of Dreams when she got involved in a battle between Elayne Trakand, Nynaeve al’Meara, and Moghedien. When Nynaeve and Elayne woke up in the real world, Birgitte was there as well. But Birgitte was severely injured in the fight; Elayne bonded her as a Warder to help her survive her injuries. Birgitte quickly adapted to her new situation, and currently takes her duties as Elayne’s Warder very seriously. She is not the first female Warder, but there have only been several in the history of the White Tower. Birgitte is concerned, however. She was torn from Tel’aran’rhiod instead of being born into the real world as she normally would be. As such, she is no longer tied to the Horn of Valere. If she is killed, she will not be reborn in a future Age.
